Philip & Rachel // Ulster American Folk Park

Weddings

Philip and Rachel’s wedding at the newly refurbished Silverbirches Hotel saw me photograph my first Chinese tea ceremony and I was excited to capture it. Its always an immense privilege to be invited to witness traditions from cultures outside our own. I loved that the tea ceremony is about expressing gratitude for being raised with the bride and groom kneeling in front of their parents and serving them tea and thanking them – what a beautiful tradition. After the tea ceremony we headed onto the Ulster American Folk Park for some bridal portraits, I always love shooting here. To end the day Rachel & Philip did an exciting sparkler exit!
