A Family-Only Celebration & Stylish Reception at The Fitzwilliam Hotel
There’s something undeniably elegant about a small Belfast City Hall wedding. Without the noise and pressure of a large guest list, the day becomes beautifully centred on the couple, their closest family, and the moments that really matter.
Caron and Ben chose just that with their wedding celebrations in the heart of Belfast, keeping things simple, meaningful, and effortlessly stylish.

A Belfast City Hall Ceremony Full of Heart
Belfast City Hall is iconic — grand marble floors, towering columns, sweeping staircases — yet it also lends itself beautifully to intimate celebrations. Their ceremony took place beneath its historic stone arches, surrounded only by their families.
It was quiet. Meaningful. And deeply personal.
No elaborate entrance. No performance. Just two people, very much in love, making a promise.

Portraits on the Grand Staircase & City Streets
After the ceremony, we used the marble staircase inside City Hall for portraits — the kind of setting that feels cinematic without needing any fuss. The soft light and neutral tones created the perfect backdrop for images that feel both timeless and editorial.

From there, we stepped outside into the city.
The surrounding streets offered texture, movement, and those beautiful in-between moments — hand-in-hand across pavements, laughter in the breeze, the quiet pause at the edge of a crossing. It was relaxed, unhurried, and authentic — exactly how a wedding day should feel.

An Intimate Reception at The Fitzwilliam Hotel
Back at The Fitzwilliam, the private dining space was set for a low-key celebration — polished yet warm, elegant yet comfortable. Glasses clinked softly, toasts were shared without microphones, and families came together around one table.
It felt less like a reception and more like gathering together at home — just elevated, city-lit, and full of joy.
Why I Love Intimate Weddings
Days like this remind me that a wedding doesn’t need to be big to be deeply meaningful.
Small weddings prioritise:
• Connection over performance
• Presence over rushing
• Emotion over spectacle
And from a photography perspective, this creates space for images that are honest, elegant, and full of story.
