Castle Leslie Estate Wedding // Robert & Mary

So Im finally breaking my blogging drought and sharing Robert & Mary’s stunning Castle Leslie wedding with you today! Robert & Mary are the type of couples I love to shoot, breaking away from tradition and having a first look and portrait session before their wedding ceremony. Traditionally, couples wait until the top if the aisle to see each other for the first time. First looks are a big thing in America and they are slowly starting to make their way over to Ireland. There are some great benefits to having a first look, it is a private and intimate moment where the bride and groom get to see each other for the first time in a relaxed setting rather than in front of 100’s of wedding guests. They can react, kiss, cuddle, laugh, cry and speak with each other which doesn’t happen in a formal ceremony setting. Another added bonus is more time for a private portrait session, which means more photos. Also, with the bride and groom portraits out of the way beforehand it means they get to spend more time with their guests at their wedding reception, its a win win for all! Now for the photos, this was my first time shooting at Castle Leslie Estate and its a truly beautiful setting, even with the rain forcing us in doors their are some many photo opportunities and I  cant wait to be backing shooting in Castle Leslie later in the year!
